OLIX TECHNOLOGIES LTD (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates a digital platform designed to connect individuals and businesses seeking transportation of goods with independent drivers and transport providers. The platform functions strictly as an intermediary technology solution that enables users to identify, communicate, and enter into arrangements with one another. At no point does OLIX TECHNOLOGIES LTD take possession, custody, or control of goods, nor does it participate in the execution of transportation services.

We are committed to protecting personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2019 of Kenya and any regulations or guidance issued by the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner. This Privacy Policy provides a comprehensive explanation of how personal data is collected, processed, used, stored, disclosed, and otherwise handled in connection with the use of our Services.

By accessing or using OLIX TECHNOLOGIES LTD, users acknowledge that they understand the nature of the platform as a marketplace and agree to the data practices described in this policy.

For drivers, additional documentation is required to comply with regulatory requirements in Kenya, including valid driver’s licenses, PSV badges where applicable, certificates of good conduct, vehicle logbooks or proof of ownership, valid insurance certificates, inspection reports, and any permits required by the National Transport and Safety Authority.

We also collect technical data such as device identifiers, operating system details, IP addresses, browser types, and usage patterns. Location data may be collected to support coordination between users. Communications data, including messages exchanged on the platform and interactions with customer support, may also be stored and analyzed for operational purposes.



4. PURPOSE OF PROCESSING
Personal data is processed for several legitimate purposes necessary to operate the platform effectively. These purposes include enabling user registration and account management, facilitating communication between users, supporting coordination of transportation arrangements, verifying identities and documentation, and maintaining platform integrity.

5. PLATFORM ROLE AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
OLIX TECHNOLOGIES LTD acts solely as a facilitator of connections between independent users. We do not provide transportation services, do not employ drivers, and do not act as an agent for any user. We do not supervise, control, or manage the execution of services arranged through the platform.

All agreements relating to the transportation of goods are made directly between users. OLIX TECHNOLOGIES LTD is not responsible for the conduct of users, the condition or safety of goods, or the outcome of any transportation arrangement. Users acknowledge that they engage with each other at their own risk and that OLIX TECHNOLOGIES LTD shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, delay, or dispute arising from such interactions.



6. PRICING AND PAYMENTS
OLIX TECHNOLOGIES LTD does not set, recommend, or calculate pricing for services offered through the platform. All pricing and payment arrangements are negotiated and agreed directly between users. We do not process payments on behalf of users unless explicitly stated in a separate agreement.

Users are solely responsible for ensuring that payment terms are clear and mutually agreed upon. OLIX TECHNOLOGIES LTD shall not be responsible for any disputes relating to pricing, payments, or financial arrangements between users.



7. DATA SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
Personal data may be shared between users to enable communication and coordination. For example, drivers may receive sender contact details and pickup information, while receivers may receive driver contact information.

We may also share data with third-party service providers who support our operations, including hosting providers, analytics services, customer support systems and other value-added services. These providers are contractually obligated to protect personal data and use it only for specified purposes.  

We may disclose personal data where required by law, regulation, or legal process, including requests from law enforcement or regulatory authorities.



8. GOODS AND SERVICE DISCLAIMER
All information relating to goods is provided by users and is not verified by OLIX TECHNOLOGIES LTD. We do not guarantee the accuracy, legality, or condition of goods listed or transported through the platform.

OLIX TECHNOLOGIES LTD does not assume responsibility for the handling, transportation, delivery, or receipt of goods. Users are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws and for resolving any disputes arising from transportation arrangements.



9. DATA RETENTION
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud. Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the data and applicable regulatory requirements.

Even after account closure, certain data may be retained where necessary for compliance or enforcement purposes.
